Thought it good to let you know, I found permanent employment with ... Not sure if you can remember me, the South African that attended your day workshops.

... I landed a very good position as Project Manager with ..., in their Asset Management Dept developing projects from concept to financial sign-off and then handing it over to a delivery project manager. ... Till this day I had not been able to secure a 1st interview meeting with any of the major retailers, neither food, clothing or other industry players. Mind boggling.

Anyway, thanks again for the pointers and ideas you planted through the workshops. The networking with every possible opportunity is important for sure, mine that opened the right doors at the end of the day was via my local Uniting Church community where we as a family got involved since landing here.

It's tough times out there for migrants at this stage with the economic meltdown, I really hope the Australian Government and people do not forget that migrants helped for the last 7-12 years build the strong economy and do not cut them out now to ensure a popular vote in the short term.

As this town and industry is of compact format, I am sure we will meet again sometime in the future.

It is my pleasure to write this letter for two reasons. After attending the seminar you addressed last Thursday, I rang a word-of-mouth employment opportunity … gained an interview the next day … was included as a late entry and received the phone call on the Saturday evening confirming that I was the successful candidate from a short list of eleven; it was a list of ten before I phoned. I have accepted the position, of course, and this week I commence a permanent casual position working four days a week.

I would not have phoned without being buoyed by your professional and inspirational presentation. I have been working ad hoc for three years, always trying to get a permanent job to no avail. It is not my childhood dream of being a commercial airline pilot, but at age 56 years I have let other ambitions replace that.

I devalued myself for too long, to the detriment of quite a chunk of my ego, and your ability and experience to expose the truth about employer strategies as well as many invaluable tips on presentation, awareness, interviews, and especially to market myself in different ways, made me rediscover the tools I always had to succeed.

I feel like a born-again employee, but it was always there. Thank you for making me realise it, and I am sure the worth of those few hours will be used again and again in the future.

I was employed for 10 years by Detroit Engine and Turbine Company (DETCO) as Group Manager Human Resources and a member of the Executive Committee. DETCO had 25 operational sites around Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Vietnam with a total staff of 750-800.

We selected Tony (whilst a consultant with another firm) as our recruitment consultant to undertake our employment of salaried staff and some other specialised positions. In addition he arranged various courses and advanced Management techniques for us. DETCO requested that Tony be appointed as the one person that we would deal with at all times - I was the DETCO control person.

Tony and I had a close working relationship as he had to be aware of our plans, budgets and operating parameters. In addition Tony visited all our major Branches and became acquainted with all our Executive Committee and State Senior operating staff.

We were comfortable to discuss all aspects of our business with Tony and relied on his comments and judgements to enable our objectives to be realised. All our dealings were controlled and monitored by Tony.

I have no hesitation in recommending Tony to any client as I am convinced that his abilities and knowledge will be of great assistance to that organisation.

Tony has assisted me with recruitment issues for the past 4 years. He has been instrumental in finding us Research Engineers and Economists with specialised backgrounds from Australia and overseas. I am writing in reference to the Mature Aged Forum in which Tony Hancock facilitated. The training was targeted to assist Mature Aged people in gaining employment.

I found Tony to have a great ability in building rapport with all that participated, while encouraging a friendly learning environment that made people feel very comfortable. The forum flowed and covered a lot of topics that are relevant in gaining employment. Tony also addressed individual barriers and how to overcome their own perception into why they are not employed.

I believe the training that Tony offered would have assisted everyone that attended in setting new goals or looking into new opportunities.
